1) EXPLORING YOUR BODY
Touch each finger of your child's hand to their thumb. Eventually they will be able to do it on their own but this is a difficult skill to master and it takes many hours of practice!
This exercise develops co-ordination in hand and finger muscles - necessary for writing later on.

2) EXPLORING YOUR MIND      "sqeeze paint"
Fill some plastic bottles with paint (or water with food colouring added if you prefer washable art) and 'squeeze paint' masterpieces. Newspaper is great to paint on.
This activity develops strength in hand and finger muscles, and also is a fun way to become aware of different colours.

3) EXPLORING YOUR SELF
Make time with your child to have a tea party. Any reason will do - the day of the week, teddy bear's birthday, and the fact that it's 10am!
Child led play is a wonderful way to spend quality time with your child. It helps with the child's sense of belonging in the family unit and is great fun too.
